Our History
In 1970, Ed Sawyer started Industrial Electric Service, a small industrial repair shop based in Safford, Arizona. His wife, Angie, ran the shop and even helped to rewind electric motors. We've grown a lot since our humble beginnings, but we haven't forgotten how we got here.
What started out as a small industrial repair shop serving southeastern Arizona has since become a world-wide supplier for quality products and services. In 2011, we started a new company, Global Parts Source, to separate our parts and services companies and to reflect our global customer-base. 45 years later, GPS is still family-owned and operated by experienced employees here to serve you.
Our Family
Dennis Sawyer, Owner
Dennis owns Global Parts Source. He has 45 years of experience in industrial sales. In 2010, he founded the non-profit Foreign Angels Charities. He enjoys traveling and volunteering for Lions Club International, the Rotary Club, the Boy Scouts of America, and his charity.
Amy Marie Sawyer, Sales Manager
Amy is a part-time sales manager. She has 15 years of experience with industrial parts. She is part of AMIGOS and is a bearing specialist. She enjoys spending her spare time hanging out with her family, playing in the wood shop, riding dirt bikes, hunting, shooting, fishing, traveling, volunteering, reading, and keeping active.
Doug Stewart, Manager
Doug joined GPS in 2019. He has over 25 years of experience in heavy duty and automotive parts. He enjoys spending time with his loved ones, playing in the desert, 4-wheeling, and watching movies.
Lupe Guillen, Spanish Speaking Warehouse Manager
Lupe enjoys taking trips to Mexico with his wife and doing side job around the valley. He has been about of the business for over 25 years.
